Content of the 6th semester
Specialized engeneering internship
Generalities
The Basic
technician internship is taking place in the 6th semester in the department of
Vehicle Engineering.
The admission
to the internship is based on the successful passing of the Intermediate Degree
It consitsts
of two compact lectures at the beginnind and at the ending of the semester, and
a practical activity in an enterprise.
The compact
lectures are taking place at the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe.
* The
students of the German department, have to prove a practical activity which has
to take at least 20 weeks ( 100 days )
* The
students of the German-French department (double Diploma ), have to prove a
practical activity wich has to take at least 12 weeks ( 60 days ). In this case
the internship can take place before the beginning of the 7th semester ( before
the entry to the University of Applied Sciences ) or after the ending of the
8th semester ( before the return to the ENSMM ).
The student
is incharge of finding a placement. The trainee office can be consulted by the
students to find a suitable enterprise
The aims of the internship
To get the
knowledge about engineering activities and their technical standarts by working
independently on problems and projects, wich generally were executed by
engineers.
Other focal
points during the Specialized engineering internship. It has to be guaranteed
that the aims of the internship would be achived.
Content of the internship
Engineer work
in the sectors research, development, construction, production and should the
occasion arise, distribution within the scope of the enterprise.
Recognition and care during a study at the partner
University
The
Specialized technician internship will be recognized and cared by the chosen
partner University
The course
In addition
to the two compact lectures during the Specialized technician internship, at
six days at the most colloquiums are taking place, to which the students
concerned are invited to.
Report binder
A report
binder has to be delivered at the end of the internship, it has to be handed
over to the trainee at the latest 14 days after the beginning of the following
semester, otherwise one have to wait until the following semester.
In the report
binder form and content, beginning and ending of the activity, and should the
occasion arise, the time debit, has to be confirmed by the enterprise.
The report
has to be written in German.
In addition a
lecturer has to be named, who has to prove the report.
The layout of the report
A cover with
the name and information about the enterprise, locality of the enterprise,
period of the internship, industrial tutor, stamp and the signature of the
enterprise, the handing over date, the certificate of the enterprise, an
introduction with thanks to the enterprise and to the industrial tutor,
explenation with relevant information about the aids, used by the sudent.
A list of
contents with follwing structure
1st chapter:
introduction of the enterprise and their activities
2nd chapter:
chronological summary of the activities of the enterprise
3rd chapter:
reports of the activities
4th chapter:
enclosures, like drawings, wiring diagrams and functioning diagrams, which are
larger than DIN A4
The
acceptance of the report is guaranteed if the formal preconditions are
observed, and the report hasn`t grave ortographic faults
Colloquium
A ten minute
report has to be accounted on the content and the cours of the Basic technician
internship

The
certificate will be made out after the colloquium and the recognition of the
report
