Specialized engineering internship

Generally

The Specialized engineering internship is taking place in the 6th semester It is part of the main study, and it only can be taken up, if the intermedial degree is made out and an approved training post has been submitted.

Before the Specialized engineering internship begins, the training post has to be approved by the trainee office.

A copy of the approved training post has to be handed over to the secretary`s office of the department “Mechatronik”.

The search and the choice of the training post has to be resolved by the student. The trainee office can be consulted by the sudents to find the suitable enterprise.

Period of the Specialized engineering internship:

The practical activity has to take at least 100 days.

The aims of the training

* Project work with engineer scientifical ploblems

* To get to know the technical/social surrounding of an enterprise

The care

During the Specialized engineering internship two colloquiums are taking place, where the students concerned are invited to. The attendance is obligatory. Only the students who demonstrably are abroad, are released from the participation.

Report binder

It has to be produced a report binder about the executed acticity, which has to be signed up by the enterprise. It has to be handed over to the trainee office at the latest 14 days after the beginning of the following semester. Form and content, beginning and ending of the activity, and should the occasion arise, time debit, has to be confirmed by the enterprise and has to be added to the report.

Further a lecturer has to be named, who has to prove the report.

Colloquium

A ten minute report has to be accounted on the content and the course of the Specialized engineering internship

Certificate

The certificate will be made out after the colloquium and the recognition of the report
